Author Rights and Responsibilities
- We want your submission to be the best it can be. For written submissions, our editors may offer editorial suggestions prior to publication and/or request minor revisions. By submitting to Route 7 Review, you agree to allow us to make copyediting modifications to your document (e.g., correcting spelling, removing extra spaces, correcting punctuation, etc.). We will not alter your submission in any way that will change the context, and you will be contacted should the need for clarification arise (e.g., homonyms).
Though we claim first electronic rights and non-exclusive archival rights, you retain the copyright for your submitted work. Where possible, we request exclusivity for 30 days post-publishing before you post or submit your work elsewhere. Should you re-publish your submission, we request that you credit Route 7 Review as the first publisher.
We do not accept reprints of previously published work. All work submitted to Route 7 Review must be original. Additionally, we are a non-paying market.
Should Route 7 Review develop a print anthology of published work, we may request permission to reproduce your work. We do not currently have plans for print editions or anthologies, and you may feel free to opt out of appearing in an anthology at any time.
